Travel Health Clinic

It is particularly important to prevent disease when travelling abroad.  Our nurses can advise you on sensible precautions and give some of the appropriate vaccinations, however, you may also need to attend a private travel clinic.

You will need to make an appointment at least 6 weeks before your intended date of travel.

For Travel advice you can visit www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk or www.nathnac.org or you can telephone the MASTA travel helpline (09068 224100) a few days before your appointment, they will give you the latest information which you can bring into your appointment.

It may be difficult to organise vaccinations at short notice. In these cases we recommend the Travel Clinics at Gatwick and Heathrow Airports. For more information about EHIC (European Health Insurance card) which have replaced the E111 please see Useful Information, Contacts & Links.

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below

Travel Health Questionnaire

To help us offer the appropriate advice, you may print out the Questionnaire, fill it in and return it to the surgery to enable the nurse to check your records to see if any vaccinations are required.
